Multicultural Wedding in The South of France

This multicultural wedding weekend for Georgina and Edward felt grand yet beautifully grounded. From a boat inspired-welcome party to an editorial farmhouse celebration, this vibrant weekend was the epitome of a personalized wedding in the South of France.

The Iconic Domaine de Machoenia Wedding Venue

As wedding planners in San Sebastián and the South of France, Machoenia is easily one of our favorite wedding venues in the region. Built in the 18th century, it is a beautifully preserved traditional Basque estate featuring whitewashed stone walls, antique timber beams, and meticulously restored stables. The property is nestled on 25 acres of rolling green meadows and lush gardens, where you can even spot horses grazing. Best of all, the views are unforgettable. Mount La Rhune is the perfect backdrop for weddings at Machoenia.

Trend-Setting Design & Soulful Details

Our vision was to create a sophisticated yet understated experience with a warm and soulful atmosphere. The colorful tented ceremony was filled with lush orange, pink, and yellow florals, while Georgina’s whimsical bouquet of orange tulips perfectly showcased her personality. Indoors, we covered the dining room with dramatic fabric draping, creating an elevated, intimate vibe full of unique textures. It was a look that felt timeless and deeply personal.

An Unforgettable Weekend Wedding in the South of France & San Sebastián

The three-day weekend began with an incredible sunset welcome party at a luxury club in San Sebastián where guests were invited to begin the festivities with champagne and seafront views. On the wedding day at Machoenia it began raining cats and dogs just before the ceremony, but our team quickly adapted, creating a cozy, yet decadent tented ceremony space fragrant with florals. For the reception, the energy was unmatched. After dinner, Georgina and her bridesmaids surprised the guests and her new husband with a choreographed dance. He then serenaded Georgina and their guests with a beautiful trumpet solo. The next day, the festivities were finished with a relaxed farewell brunch at the iconic Miramar Palace.
