We are Americans and planned our Spanish wedding remotely; Leire acted as our boots on the ground, going to onsite visits for us and promptly sharing videos and photos. We knew from the beginning that Leire was as invested in the success of our wedding as we were, and this kept us feeling supported rather than anxious throughout the entirety of the planning.

Leire is local to San Sebastian, and her reputation and network throughout the city will benefit anyone who is working with her. Upon several occasions we were told that a request was not possible, and each time Leire met directly with venue owners or liaised with colleagues in town to address our requests – and in the end was able to get them all resolved. Leire truly made our dreams come true!

Both my husband and I are working full time and based in the US, we didn’t have a lot of time to dedicate to the wedding planning.

Leire was able to understand what we were looking for (for the decoration, the food, the party, etc.) very quickly.

By the end of the wedding planning, I gave her full autonomy on certain decisions, like what the seating assignment would look like for example and she made it all perfect – she does have great taste I have to say!

What amazed me the most is her attention to details, she thought of everything and the details are really what makes the decoration (and the organization) perfect!

I am local but we live abroad, so decided to get some help to prepare our wedding, initially planned for July 2020.

Organizing a wedding, especially from abroad, is not an easy task. As the date gets closer, and the budget tighter, things easily slip out of control and the “dream day” can start to look more stressing than rejoicing. This did not happen for us. “I started my career in catering and events almost 20 years ago and eventually moved into the convention planning arena. I procure space and negotiate contracts for groups varying in size with my largest group having over 25,000 attendees. I tell you this because when I started the planning process for my own wedding, in a different country then where I live, I knew enough about the planning business to know I needed a Wedding Planner. And not just any Wedding Planner, I needed the best. I know this business, I know what it entails to pull off an amazing event and I knew I would have very little tolerance for someone who might not be the very best. 

We started working with a WP and it wasn’t going bad but I was not overly impressed. I spoke with my fiancé about it and we started looking at other websites to see who else was out there to help us. We found 20 Eventos. The amount of recommendations we found for 20 Eventos was ridiculous. No other WP had any where near as many or as positive. We had our first call with Leire and I knew that we found the right person to help us. She was very direct, very honest and best of all, very capable. Our family and friends kept asking us if we were nervous or stressed out from the planning and I can tell you honestly, we never were either. Leire took care of everything for us, including the stress!

She gave her opinion when she knew we needed it but we always felt like we were making all of the decisions. We passed along pictures of what we liked and she made the pictures into reality. The day was perfect. And by perfect I mean not a single thing went wrong. It was beautiful, I am pretty sure every guest told us that it was the best wedding they had ever been to, including a cousin who had just gotten married.
